High End Residential Interior Design Project

Creating a luxurious family home in the heart of North London

The owners of this 13,000 square foot property in North London had lovingly designed and rebuilt it over a period of 6 years when they contacted us. They were reluctant to furnish their home with finishes that might detract from the high end interior architectural backdrop.

They were looking for an interior designer to help them create a high-end, classic-contemporary interior. They wanted it to be “elegant with a touch of fun”. Their two boys' rooms were to be 'boyish' and not too grown up. They were looking for help with colour schemes, soft furnishings, furniture, accessories and art curation. Overall they wanted someone to help them pull the whole house together into a scheme which flowed and had warmth, character and elegance.

The outcome is a magnificent family home. It feels grand yet welcoming. Luxurious yet homely. There is a sense of continuous space but each room space is punctuated with stunning art, objects and detail ensuring that there is interest and personality at every turn.

In the entrance of this grand home, a bold table with silver leaf base and high gloss top is centred with dramatic effect. Monochrome floor tiles were laid in a diagonal pattern in the luxurious and welcoming entrance. The sense of luxury continues with a bench upholstered in damask silk by Rubelli in the hallway leading to the dining room, where a smoked glass tubular chandelier by Bella Figura hangs low above the dining table. The ultra modern kitchen flows on to a more informal dining area with steps leading down to a sophisticated, sunken soft seating, hang-out space. The living room features large sofas upholstered in caramel leather accessorised with luxurious cashmere throws and cushions. Artwork and objects from around the world are cleverly curated to add depth, interest and sophistication whilst blending seamlessly into the overall look and feel of the house.

The master bedroom has a feeling of understated glamour, Its aubergine and ivory colour palette creates a soothing ambience and the contrasting heights of the tall brass table lamps by Smania and the low, bespoke bedside tables provide a focal point. The master bathroom flows from the bedroom contains a large freestanding shower and a sunken bath with a black glass chandelier above. The children's bedroom is very cleverly designed as a transitional space. The walls are clad in textured and patterned wallpaper with a blue and yellow colour scheme and bespoke joinery allows for plenty of storage for books, toys and gadgets. The guest bedrooms are just as elegant and sophisticated as the rest of the house, with soft, warm colour schemes and enticing art work.

The result is a stunning, luxurious family home.
