Horwood Interiors is a London based interior design studio founded by Claire Hewson and Joanna Elliott.

After meeting in 2012 at one of London’s leading design firms, we went onto establish and lead the Interior Design team at Leconfield Property Group, completing over 40 projects in prime central London locations. In 2024 we founded Horwood to focus on our passion for creating beautifully curated interiors for clients who are looking for an experienced partner to guide them through the process of transforming their homes.

Horwood creates refined yet relaxed, timeless interiors in both city and country locations, in the UK and overseas. With a combined experience of over 30 years in the industry and a portfolio of projects ranging from grand period town houses to restaurants, modern apartments and mews houses, we are familiar with the challenges of designing Grade I and II Listed properties, as well as new build projects. Drawing upon our long-standing relationships with talented makers, suppliers and craftspeople allows us to deliver homes that are as comfortable and welcoming as they are beautiful.

We believe that a home is for living in, and as such our designs are luxurious but always practical and personal. Our projects are characterised by the highest quality materials, considered details and a strong sense of warmth evoking the true feeling of ‘home’.

The Horwood studio style is engaging, friendly and relaxed. Our creativity, energy and enthusiasm comes through in our approach to design and relationships with our clients, the foundation of everything we do.
