This Arts and Crafts house within the Wavertree Garden Suburb Conservation Area has been sensitively extended and refurbished, balancing the original character with modern living needs.
Our interior design proposals preserved historic features, including refurbished Crittall doors and a reclaimed timber floor from a local church hall, while ensuring the home feels authentic and harmonious with its era.
Maximising natural light was key, particularly in the rear garden-facing spaces. Roof lights with splayed reveals and a new side window flood the kitchen, living, and dining areas with daylight, while a glazed internal door allows light to penetrate from the south-facing front. The result is a bright, welcoming interior that honours the home’s heritage while enhancing comfort and functionality.
