We are nearing the end of our building project, to convert our house for wheelchair access and instal a through lift from our sitting room to bedroom.
Thank you so much for recommending Rupert. I want you to know that Rupert and his assistant, Charlotte, were wonderful.
In January I was given the diagnosis of a progressive neurological disease and I knew that I had to reconfigure my house urgently. Rupert carefully considered my projected needs, researched the exact requirements for my lift and speedily produced drawings. He negotiated with lift companies to ensure I bought the most suitable lift for my wheelchair and that it was installed as soon as possible. Doorways were widened , a bedroom converted to an ensuite bathroom and a utility room changed to a disabled toilet.
It was important to me that the conversion was sympathetic to my house, with it’s many original features. The final result has enhanced the house and made it much more beautiful. Rupert made use of the original features , designing practical usable spaces. He project managed the work, representing me in negotiations with the builders and ,understanding the urgency, ensured that they kept to a very strict time line.
Charlotte and Rupert kept weekly eye on the site and kept us informed on progress. They involved us in the design ,showing us options at each stage and tactfully guided us through out.
They tolerated a certain amount of dithering ,when i was not sure what I wanted and were kind and flexible when I changed my mind.
I am very happy with my new home , the whole process has made the last 6 months more bearable for me and allowed me to focus on my future with some optimism , this is in no small part due to the graciousness and professionalism of Rupert and Charlotte.

September 2022Refurbishment of Indian restaurant Kent
After ten years, we have moved the restaurant premises from an old Victorian pub to a busy, trendy high street and knew we needed a total look overhaul. We were nervous, and apart from wanting a spectacular makeover, we weren't sure what we were after. Luckily, you introduced us to Rachel who was available at short notice, and within weeks she visited us onsite. She listened carefully and soon presented us with bold makeover plans within our budget.
Throughout the challenging and stressful process, Rachel was the beacon of professional calm and assurance. The project was divided into three stages, and we almost managed to keep to the schedule, barring some material shortages as the economy was coming out of Covid-19 malaise. I have to admit we were fussy and difficult at times, and yet Rachel remained poised, cooperative, flexible and extra creative to meet our requests. And once the project was completed, we were all blown away by the stunning result.
As I'm writing this, I'm surrounded by the elegant and welcoming interior filled with light and warmth, along with custom-designed details. One of the biggest issues we faced was the low ceiling and lack of light and yet, after the transformation, the issue is non-existent and the last on everyone's mind. Instead, there's a 'wow' factor as you walk into our beautiful dining room filled with opulent Tom Dixon pendants, luxurious surfaces, textured materials and opulent fabrics. I guess the best proof of how talented Rachel is are probably the before-and-after photographs of our interior.
Rachel also took care of planning issues, including completing all the drawings and submitting them to the relevant authorities; she liaised with our architect and knowledgeably took care of the details surrounding the planning of the new facade and signage. All this while taking into account the fact that our restaurant is in London's conservation area.
We would use her again and recommend her without any reservations. Thank you - we couldn't be happier with our restaurant's remarkable new look!

We have been working with your designer for several months now on the refurbishment of our house. I cannot recommend her highly enough. We needed someone who not only had vision and design skills but also someone who could project manage as we have been out of the country for much of the year. She has handled absolutely everything – from the initial layout plans and design, coordinating all the building and plumbing through to soft furnishings and finishing touches. Whilst we still have some work left to do on the house, we are delighted with the results so far and cannot wait to see our completed home. She has a great eye for detail, is able to visualise spaces and is highly creative. She is incredibly organised, responsive and flexible to our ever-changing demands! She has been very aware of the budget and kept within it and has excellent relationships with contractors and suppliers giving us access to them. Obviously it took time for us to get to know each other and understand the style I wanted to achieve. The project with Nicola and Chris has gone really really well. We had a vision for the project but also wanted their guidance on how best to bring it to life.
This was a slightly trickier project than most because the space was partly furnished. Once we had a visual in place, Nicola arranged several showroom visits to help us select furniture and sometimes a second look and feel was needed for us to say yes! Nicola and Chris were able to work around the existing furniture; layering in some bright soft furnishings including upholstered headboards, sheer curtains and accessories to vastly improve the overall look.
The best thing about the project has been the team work between us and them and the fact that they have provided a design and build solution which really took the pressure off. They have been flexible in helping us make this dream a reality and haven't been afraid to make their opinions known. We had a fantastic balance of dream versus what works in reality and Nicola and Chris were always there to steer us in the right direction. On the few occasions when we weren't too keen on what they were offering, they were happy to offer us different solutions to consider. We are delighted with the work they have done with a very professional, hardworking team and our guests have only had great things to say about the new look of the spaces.

We have really enjoyed working with Paul on our apartment interior design project, and are delighted with the outcome. One of Paul's strengths is that he listened carefully to our ideas and used his knowledge and experience to guide us, rather than imposing his own vision. That way we ended up with something that we felt ownership for, but was much higher quality than we could have achieved ourselves. We were especially pleased with the bespoke joinery that Paul designed and his relationship with the main joinery supplier helped ensure we ended up with some stunning pieces that really enhance our living space. We were also pleasantly surprised with how he transformed our small outside space with some well-chosen furniture and lovely plants. Nice to hear from you. I would be happy to recommend Sarah. She was very organised in terms of the project management of my renovation. With Sarah’s guidance, we made all of the choices relating to fixtures, location of electrical fittings etc. well in advance of when the builders needed to know, which made the process relatively stress free.
She also helped me sourcing furniture, with suggestions of possible options and organised meetings with suppliers for me to visit and view the suggested options.
Sarah has a good relationship with the builder she recommended for my project which meant that any issues/potential issues during the build were dealt with promptly and with good humour.
Finally, I was very impressed with her “snagging skills”! She was very particular in inspecting all of the work and flagging snags that needed to be rectified.
Overall, Sarah was very communicative and visited the property on a regular basis during the renovations. We would meet at the weekend fairly regularly to assess progress and co-ordinate next steps etc.
All in all, I was very pleased with the project management services that Sarah provided.

Thanks again for putting us in touch with Sarah. We have found her very easy to work with and have ended up with a great theme to the house, it is a complete change from before. There is a consistency throughout now but the details mean there is something different to each room.
After the initial contact through you we agreed the scope of work and budget with Sarah and we have stuck almost exactly to the plan. She provided oodles of samples for all of the materials, fabrics and finishes. All well organised so it was easy to review them in conjunction with the plans.
I felt that Sarah was very committed to our project and worked hard to make it a success. She was always seemed passionate about every detail. We were very happy with the outcome of using your service. It was really positive. Not having gone through this process before I was reluctant to work with an interior designer, but my wife was very keen to bring an interior designer on board. I couldn't have been more wrong.
Our taste and style is not traditional. I run a music venue and a tattoo studio, so our style is off the hook. Once your designer had met us at the house and looked at our furniture, our art work and at the pages from magazines we had torn out over the past 3 months they came back to us with concepts which proved that they totally understood our style.
Once the project started, communication was excellent, deadlines were met and budgets adhered to. When issues with suppliers came about they were navigated, compromises were found and options given. The process was made easy for us. The main thing (we run 3 different businesses) was that we didn't have the time or the headspace to research umpteen different kinds of flooring or companies looking to supply them. Going through the designer meant that they took our concepts and examples of what we wanted and came back and narrowed the field in terms of products but also in terms of suppliers - recommending ones with whom they had a good relationship. To us, it was a predominantly stress-free build. It may not have been to them! They shielded us from unnecessary drama and brought crucial issues to us only after they had been digested and resolutions and options found. Their level of paperwork and detail was also very, very good.
We hope to work with them again.

The designers your recommended have been great and I have enjoyed working with them. The ideas and solutions that they suggested for my flat have been great and although I am still in the process of sourcing various items (some of the furniture has very long lead times), I am very happy with the way my flat is starting to look. They also designed some cupboards and shelving for my study (I used my joiner for the build and installation), which has proven to be very functional but also looks good. They have also been very helpful in liaising with various suppliers, and generally very responsive.

At the start of the project I was very anxious about everything that needed to be done to make the flat that I had lived in for nearly 30 years into the home I had always wanted. After having a couple of meetings with the designer you recommended I felt very comfortable that he understood what I wanted and more importantly how to do it. Without him this would have been far too big a job for me alone: to organise things, to pick out furniture and fittings, to come up with design solutions to some of my ideas. He made excellent choices but would always give me a range of options to chose from - exactly what I needed - not to be overwhelmed by too much choice! He liaised with the decorators and other contractors and ensured that they kept to time and where possible, budget. He was patient (very) and supportive - and made what had seemed such a daunting task at the start feel a lot stressful that I had expected.
Moving back in was so exciting and everyone who has visited have been really impressed with the new revitalised flat. And most importantly I love it!

I had just moved into a flat in Covent Garden and wanted a complete redesign. I met with 5-6 interior designers – 2 of which were recommended by Interior Designers. Interior Designers spent time with me on a Sturday morning to understand my requirements before making the recommendations.
I found the two recommendations were far better than the rest - in terms of listening to my requirements, putting together a detailed proposal and follow-up. My number 1 and 2 choices were both supplied by Interior Designers. A fabulous personalised service.

We asked Judith and her team to take the architect's plans for our proposed new house and look at the interior space. Whilst we were very happy with the external look of the house we were not sure the rooms suited the needs of our family.
We were given various options and solutions and quite quickly we could see the potential in the new interior layouts.
