Mill Lane is the refurbishment of this Grade II listed Georgian building to provide conference and accommodation facilities for the De Montfort University. The building hosts the University’s hospitality suite which is enhanced to provide an excellent facility for hosting and entertaining visiting, international dignitaries.
In the hospitality Suite a traditional approach to the interior design has been adopted and remains sympathetic to its architectural heritage – a delight to visiting guests anticipating immersion in tradition. A residential suite provides the University’s guests, overnight accommodation, a lounge area, study spaces and a kitchen. Here, an eclectic and contemporary approach to the interior design is adopted, drawing inspiration from key movements of 20th Century design from the industrial aesthetic of the Bauhaus to the rounded geometric detailing of the 1950s.
