Arts & Crafts Family House

Fiona worked closely with her clients to design a comfortable and stylish interior for this four bedroomed Arts & Crafts house on the riverside. The client was keen to furnish with an eclectic mix of antiques and more contemporary pieces. The drawing room scheme combined ethnic fabrics from around the world with traditional English furnishings. The dining room was more formal with Georgian antiques harmonising with contemporary lighting. The storage cupboard under the stairs was transformed into a stylish cloakroom and a new bathroom was created on the top floor, using tiles from Italy which the client had seen in a hotel in Sorrento. The unique riverside location led naturally to a comfortable bay window seat with colourful cushions. Attention to detail was critical, down to the interior and storage of the pantry. A beautiful contemporary lantern was hung down the stairwell. Fiona worked on every aspect of the house, including sourcing garden furniture.
