The entrance hall

My client wanted the main entrance hall to be an impressive yet welcoming space. I used a highly decorative 19th Century french carved wood cream and gilt gesso wall mirror hung above a classic French sideboard handpainted with a beautiful Versailles Grey finish and top in light gold leaf. Two antiqued gold gilded chairs upholstered in beautiful silk were placed on either side to add drama and opulence. The ceilings throughout the apartment were high and magnificent and we hung a large Marie Therese chandelier in the entrance.
