This beautiful Mews house was originally a stable, so our brief was to create as much light as possible at the back of the building. Flexible ground floor space incorporating the kitchen, utility, lounge and dining area was achieved by designing a movable wall system between the kitchen and the lounge. The sliding door system could be stacked together to open up the whole room or closed to keep the kitchen and utility room separate. The arch windows at the front of the property were another feature, we opened up the top arch to allow even more light. One of the best features was the original arched ceilings on the first floor. We had to remove all existing walls on this floor to realign this special feature, which opened up the space considerably.
