New brand Chip’d introduces the best of chip culture from the Netherlands. Inspired by a modern coffee shop feel, rather than a traditional chippy, our design reflects the quality and novelty of the product. That is hand cut potatoes, twice fried, flipped and served with tasty dips.
With ambitions to scale the business UK-wide, this innovative concept needed a strong and enticing interior brand identity for their debut site.
A playful mix of pattern, material and colour create the striking look. The repeating zig-zag motif (an abstract echo of the chip shape) is applied through different surfaces to cement the new identity.
Fresh potatoes with a traditional chipper adorn the window display, while the chip-flipping technique provides a theatrical treat. Bold yellow accents in the tiling, seating and light fittings create a warm welcome amongst the pared-back monochrome backdrop.
