Commissioned by a busy professional couple with three children. The Large open plan living space is the primary family area outside of the kitchen. The brief was to create moody private members club zone where family members could curl up and read. This area also had to feature a desk. The other TV area had to incorporate a media unit and seating for all the family. The whole space was designed to be multifunctional so the family could be together during various activities.
The original panelling was transformed with inky blue paint to create a cosy reading zone. The chair designs were carefully selected to reflect a contemporary fun take on the more traditional smoking room chairs. Metal finishes were bronze and brass to marry with the victorian architecture.
