French Alps. A major re-furbishment of an existing chalet plus an extensive build of an additional chalet on to the adjoining plot creating approx 300m2 of living space.
The new chalet has the option of being divided into two houses with acoustic doors separating. The space created includes two separate entrances with two kitchens, two spacious living/dining areas & sleeps 12/16 [when the chalet is as a whole] with all bedrooms either en suite or with use of private bathrooms.
The client remit included for all audio visual works [flat screens, surround sound, wi-fi] & ski/boot rooms, laundry areas, parking, etc.
The works commenced in May 2011 with a constricted timeline due to French planning regulations, weather conditions, etc. The Client required completion for Christmas 2011. This was achieved on time & on budget by ABD working with a local architect. A very happy client!
