The brief: To open up and give life to an existing unused basement, in a stunning townhouse, previously divided into three rooms.
Our client - a professional with two children - needed a larger kitchen and dining space, and a relaxing area to sit with friends and family around the heart of the house; the kitchen.
Her love of natural light, iconic furniture and retro kitchen ware has been built upon to create a light, airy, comfortable and stylish space. The kitchen is practical for her and her children's lifestyle; a breakfast bar is a casual place to eat and chat, whereas the flexible dining table is nestled in a beautifully lit corner for evening dining. The lighting scheme sets different moods.
We furnished and accessorised the space considerately with soft colours and the occasional splash of colour. The large porcelain tiled flooring was continued outdoors, with frameless glass doors to give a sense of space. The greenery outside is vibrant and enticing.
