Our brief was to create a cohesive and elegant Sitting Room that sensitively bridged the gap between the home’s original Georgian architecture and a later 1970s extension. We carried key period details into the newer space, casting a bespoke cornice to match the original, adding refined panelling, and improving the spatial flow by removing a large structural column. A new Georgian-style bay window was introduced to flood the room with natural light, while bespoke joinery was designed to form a refined focal point around the TV - resulting in a balanced, functional space that brings two architectural eras seamlessly together.
