Gledhow duplex apartment with a difference

Our client purchased this duplex, four bedroom apartment fully renovated from a developer. Unfortunately it wasn't to our client's taste. Being an avid collector of Helmut Newton artwork, our brief was to make the artwork the feature within the home. The largest pieces were housed in the stairway where we removed the balustrades and replaced them with glass, creating a light open feel. We used poured rubber on the floor and used the same colour in paint to decorate the door and ceiling, this created a wrap around effect. We shipped an industrial chef's kitchen from Germany and fitted that in place of the Developer's white gloss version. Most of the work was carried out in the Master bedroom where we built a sleeping platform to accommodate a Hasten's bed. This provided useful storage underneath as well as better access to the terrace
