Full House Renovation with Architects Mad Atelier.

We wanted to strip back this house to its former Victorian beauty yet bring in a contemporary Scandinavian and practical feel fit for a modern family of 4. (two young children) The colours of the house were inspired by "The colours of Stockholm" as this is where we met and are both from Sweden.

To echo the old we used reclaimed bricks for the extension to sit with contemporary black aluminium window frames.

We Stripped back the walls, and floors throughout the house to reveal beautiful original

floorboards then plastered the walls and left many bare as the texture and colour creates such a sumptuous backdrop for art. Rattan lamps, and rugs, pinks and mustard throws, sheep skins add to the sensory calm and warm feeling.
