This family home is located in Kensington; the affluent road is placed between Holland Park, Notting Hill and High Street Kensington, with neighbouring parks, Kensington Gardens and Holland Park.
Early conversations with the client helped to establish the brief for a contemporary ground floor space with drama and for a real statement. Working closely with the structural engineer to achieve an open space at ground floor with an L-shaped sliding glass system that creates incredible interaction between dining / kitchen and terrace. Spread over five floors the 3.500 sqft of interior space planning required a lot of strategy to ensure that the home worked efficiently for the occupants. As the ground and basement turn to the contemporary style there is still the requirement throughout in this period property to blend the stunning period features with contemporary raw materials.
