We did a full refurbishment of this Victorian house, reconfiguring and extending the ground floor, with an open plan kitchen, dining and living space and retaining and enhancing the original period features to the front of the house.
An internal winter garden, acts as a visual break between old and new, and maintaining daylight into the library at the heart of the house. Bespoke joinery, was designed to lead the eye through from the reception room to the kitchen.
At first floor level, we created a master suite, and at roof level a loft extension contains a further bedroom, study space and shower room. The all black scheme in the master ensuite was designed to emphasise that there was no natural light in this room. The mix of textures along with dramatic lighting give a luxurious feel to the space. The clients asked that the family bathroom was designed with a more luxurious scheme. This was achieved through a mix of large format floor tiles and marble effect porcelain tiles.
