Designed for a sociable client who wished their home to reflect their love of clean lined simplicity, as well as, their appreciation of the natural world. We worked with our structural engineer to open up the kitchen and living room to create an airy open plan space that exudes natural warmth and understated elegance. A custom kitchen was designed in striking navy blue, a singular flourish of judicious colour in the otherwise pared back mews.
As storage was paramount we also designed a number of pieces of bespoke joinery throughout. Upstairs we transformed the bathroom into a calm oasis with naturally pigmented Moroccan plaster on the walls and matt black brassware. Unusual antiques and artefacts reflecting the owner’s interest in natural history and 20th century design were sourced from a couple of specialist dealers in our little black book.
