The compositions and layouts inform the use of the spaces, ensuring that a limited number of pieces are rigorously selected but well configured. The spaces are allowed to breathe, providing a comfortable, and practical interior in which to live. Subsequently, the relationship between the pieces is as important as the pieces by themselves. The beauty of the ‘Monolithic’ low tables has been achieved by using ‘the plastic number’ proportion, created by Dom Hans van der Laan.
