The Interior architects were appointed to refurbish and extend a 1930s semi-detached house in East London. They took advantage of the natural slope at the rear of the building to extend and create a new double height open plan kitchen and living space with large format sliding glass doors. The two levels are flanked by a large joinery piece, tying them together. Warm timber tones run on the walls, ceiling and cabinet fronts to make the spaces feel intimate even though they are large.
