Richmond House

Situated on the Thames in Richmond, the master suite of a full house renovation is designed with simplicity in mind to create a relaxed atmosphere for our clients to feel calmness in their everyday lives.

We used a curated selection of raw materials and colours – glazed tiles, tactile mortar, wide douglas fir solid floor planks, soft polished plaster on the walls and sheer linen fabric. These were complemented with bespoke, crafted furniture.

In winter, the fireplace throws out warmth in the spacious bedroom, whilst the rest of the year it is a pared-back and graceful focal point. Large windows frame views out to the gardens and river beyond. In the bathroom, natural light washes over the tumbled limestone floor, a contrast with the soft, chalky texture of the polished plaster walls. Natural timber floor slats in the shower area are warm underfoot and provide drainage to the wet area.
