romantic sumptuous bedroom

overlooking a lovely garden.
The brief was to create a luxurious romantic bedroom, offering the owners something of a sanctuary where they could sit and relax as well as sleep. They included their love of France in their description of how they wanted the room to feel
We kept the colour palette fairly neutral with browns and greys and silvered and bronzed dulled metallics. Because of their love of France, we decided on classic French inspired furniture in a muted silver.
One wall of the bedroom was covered in a beautiful wallpaper , patterned with tiny self coloured glass beads which added a feeling of luxury and opulence. The other walls were painted in a soft cream to match the wallpaper.
Two velvet covered chairs in a muted gold colour are positioned in the bay window next to a contemporary floor light, which will give good illumination for reading, this also creates a nice area for sitting and enjoying the view beyond.
