This two-bedroom flat in a beautiful period building in South Kensington required a full refurbishment. The client desired a warm, sophisticated, and comfortable home that felt modern while complementing the building’s original features.
The material palette focused on warm colours, tactile textures, and matt finishes, with brass fittings adding an understated luxurious touch.
The layout was reconfigured to improve functionality. The original two small bedrooms were impractical, and the large living room had a small kitchen. The kitchen and living room were relocated to the front to take advantage of the high ceilings and large windows, maximising daylight. The master bedroom was moved to the back to offer a quieter atmosphere and views of the private gardens. An en-suite was added in place of the old kitchen, creating a secluded and comfortable master suite.
