That's A'moire! - Dining Area

 
The dining area, softly illuminated by a lightwell window, was an ideal setting for us to showcase the beauty of diffused light. Here, we introduced a luxurious moiré fabric (which we also embraced in the primary bedroom—giving the project its distinctive name). We selected Patricia Urquiola's iridescent "Shimmer" table as the centrepiece, elegantly paired with beautifully salvaged banana-leaf rattan chairs from the 1980s. We breathed new life into these vintage chairs by meticulously repairing and reupholstering the seats in a striking dark fuchsia moiré fabric from Rubelli. Adding to the allure, we added an oversized photo by Slim Aarons, circa 1955, featuring American socialite C. Z. Guest at Villa Artemis, in Palm Beach, Florida. Further tying in our glamorous 1950s Hollywood Regency + 1980s Floridian mash-up concept.
