That's A'Moire! - View into kitchen

Even though the kitchen was a separate area, it was essentially an open-plan extension of the larger dining/living space, so we continued the wallpaper onto the ceiling and walls for cohesion and to keep it serene. The rattan shelving was a lucky vintage find because the material perfectly matched the banana leaf chairs. Ambient light was essential throughout, so we decided to put a floor lamp on the shelving to add sculptural and functional interest. It felt very 80s to do that!
