The Newarke

Regularly hosting visiting dignitaries, De Montfort University provides overnight guest accommodation on campus. The Newarke is a modest, yet charming Victorian terraced house owned by the University and was rejuvenated with a fresh, contemporary refurbishment to provide a comfortable and welcoming home environment.

Our approach, primarily, was to charm the University’s guests by respecting and expressing the traditional features of the house. Working closely with the University’s procurement department, our designers selected furniture, light fittings and accessories all readily available from a well-loved high street department store.
