This home was featured in Good Homes magazine -- a lovely example of making every square inch work for the family living there. The house was carefully extended into the garden, transforming a space that had a pokey kitchen and awkward dining room into through flowing space that gave consideration to the needs of all family members.
The front room can be closed off with glass pocket doors, which allow light through but don't take up valuable floor space, and the centrally located kitchen allows both the front and the rear spaces to be fully accessible.
The family room at the rear opens up onto the deck which is also covered by an awning. That in turn gives way to a bijou garden.
