Remodel of a 4 bedroom Victorian townhouse, clients expressed a love of both vintage and modern pieces and believed their taste was typically shabby chic, it transpired they wanted a sophisticated living space in which to relax and an informal gastro pub feel dining area in the kitchen in which to entertain friends, the aim was less shabby, more chic.
The vintage Italian brass coffee table base was married with a custom Cararra marble top and the Yew chaise was stripped, stained and covered in a beautiful Zimmer & Rohde velvet, both were refurbished flea market finds.
The kitchen window seat was primarily designed as bespoke toy storage. The loft space was converted into a guest bedroom suite complete with the addition of an ensuite shower room. A custom built bookcase, slim desk and classic Eames soft pad chair were inserted into a light well at the top of the stairs to optimise this compact but bright and inspiring space.
