We retained original features such as the main fireplace and coving. And added a solid timber floor which was contemporary in style whilst remaining sympathetic to the traditional elements in the room. The flooring format continues out into the garden, with solid sleepers mirroring the joint lines of the planks inside. To ensure the focus remained on the main features, we kept a simple decor scheme with a practical but subtle lighting scheme provided with trimless spotlights
