We are the UK's leading specialist interior designer agency, connecting discerning clients with the best interior design talent in Fitzrovia and across London.
No one style of architecture defines Fitzrovia – it is a mixture of grand squares, social housing, mansion flats and contemporary new-builds. There is a similary eclectic mix of activitiy in Fitzrovia; media and advertising types whose offices are based here can take advantage of the growing number of art galleries, fabulous restaurants on the likes of Charlotte Street, boutique hotels and bars.
Generally, the area is considered well-heeled and nowhere more so than Fitrzrovia Square, a quiet and salubrious haven partly designed by the great neoclassical architectarchitecte Robert Adam. Homes with elegant drawing rooms and many storeys of beautifully proportioned rooms are furnished traditionally but with elan. Houses in the Square rarely come on the market, and you can see why: it would be hard to find a more agreeable Central London location.
Fitzrovia also has a bohemian reputation with many writers and artists making the area their home: most notably the Bloomsbury Set – Virgina Woolf lived here and Roger Fry established their furniture, carpet and textile company The Omega Workshops working with artists Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell.
Bounded by Oxford Street on the south, Euston Road on the north, Great Portland Street in the west, and Gower Street in the east, Fitzrovia is at the heart of Central London life. Consequently it is in a constant state of flux. It has recently undergone a significant face lift with many exciting new developments and the arrival of Crossrail on Tottenham Court Road will bring a new influx people, some of whom will make it their home.
The area has properties to suit a variety of tastes and budgets: the roads between Great Portland Place and Cleveland Street have mostly Edwardian tenement and mansion flats; around Charlotte Street the architecture is Georgian with some early Victorian blocks. There are also pretty mews houses and some cottages in Colville Place and Middleton Place. Residents are a mix of home-owners, renters and second-home owners who have bought flats here as their London pied-a-terre.
