The building was a long-derelict serviced office before permission was granted to convert it into 2 houses. When the concrete was stripped off the walls, we discovered old wooden slats laid in the brickwork, where wooden panelling had was once been pinned, so we decided to put it back. That drove the aesthetic. We space-planned the property to make the best layout and designed the open plan ground floor to be fully panelled including the kitchen. Bold heritage colours were used in keeping with the Georgian aesthetic and we commissioned a Georgian-inspired custom dining table, kitchen bench and vanity unit in keeping with the beautiful antiques sourced by the clients.
