Beauty, refinement and legacy lace Belgravia’s 12.8 acre Chelsea Barracks, where we crafted the neighbourhood’s show apartment; uniquely championing the dynamic relationship between contemporary design and the Barracks’ vibrant heritage. Drawn to its history, we sought to honour and reflect the site’s heritage as a former active barracks through immediate references to its environment – including the ivory hues and regal palette of the site’s exterior – alongside creative introductions of military minutiae; finding a quiet inspiration in the infantry and artillery flair of the force. Making refined reference to the midnight shades of navy and sovereign gold abreast military attire, the result is a profound, understated exploration of comfort, legacy and luxury.
