We were commissioned by our client to help with the refurbishment of this Edwardian/Arts & Crafts Home in Bowden, Cheshire.
The client wanted a neutral and calm environment that could also withstand family life.
A new extension was created to include a larger kitchen, dining room, sitting room and Spiral Wine Cellar making this into a great family and entertaining space. The style had to flow throughout the house whilst still being sympathetic to its Arts and Crafts heritage.
We loved the beautiful dark wall panelling in the hallway, which unfortunately the client wasn’t fond of and wanted to remove it. However we encouraged her to change the existing oak timber flooring to a white honed limestone, also enabling underfloor heating to be installed, and painted the walls above the panelling and coffered ceiling in Zoffany Quarter Silver. The client now states it’s her favourite room in the house.
