A complete refurbishment of a listed country property for a young family wanting a cool and contemporary interior to call home. Where possible the existing architectural features were reinstated, and highlighted. The bathrooms were stripped out and reconfigured. One bathroom showcased in Farrow and Ball Off-White has contemporary matt black fittings and a modern freestanding bath. A timber screen adds a focal point to the windows and opposite black and white art photography, depicts a bathing elephant, much to the delight of the client's children. Working with grand proportions the rooms were furnished with bespoke pieces to fit each space. In the TV Room a duvet-sized cream alpaca throw swathes a bespoke 3.5 metre long sofa in soft beige linen, to seat the entire family. And two giant upcycled antique mirrors add focus and texture to the vast wall above.
