We worked with this busy family of four to design a home that spoke to each of their individual creative passions, whilst also working practically in their day to day lives. It involved stripping the entire house and digging out a new basement area, to reimagine how they used the space from top to bottom. The natural light determined the colours we chose and how it feels to move from light to dark spaces around the house. By designing bespoke joinery throughout the house, we created clever storage solutions to facilitate our client’s preference for home organisation. We designed the children their own craft and sewing areas in the new basement, and we blended two distinct design styles in the kitchen to create a beautiful space that is practical and enjoyable to cook in.
