This 1950’s house was in much need of a modern update in order to accomodate a young family. By removing a central dividing wall we were able to reconfigure the ground floor layout and create a large kitchen at the front. Our aim was to carefully reinvent the space whilst preserving and repurposing some of its characterful original features. We noticed the house had lovely original warm wood tones running throughout, something we were keen to maintain in the new kitchens’ look and feel. Walnut was used for the bespoke cabinetry, married with neutral walls and open shelving to best show off the clients collection of beautiful objects.
