This colonial bungalow in Singapore had a tree growing through the living room when we first saw it. However it did not take much imagination to really see the potential of such a beautiful space.
An external dining room was added, allowing what would have been the original dining room to become a family room with TV and playroom. This allowed the living room to become an oasis of calm. The use of the same lighting throughout, both indoors and outdoors, gave a sense of space and flow.
Original vintage furniture from Europe was mixed with more classical lines and the addition of Asian antiques and modern pieces, whilst giving a nod to the environment in which the house sits, also meant this eclectic mix works together to create a functional space that is calm, serene and perfectly stands the test of time.
