This project was to refurbish, including interior architecture, interior design and project manage a 2209 square foot, three-bedroom, three-bathroom duplex apartment on the second and third floors of The Bromptons. The brief was to transform the existing apartment into a secondary residence for the client. Marrying the exquisite architectural detail with the interior architecture of the apartment, we ensured it was up to date in terms of technology, whilst clearly reflecting the personality of the client in order to create a space that felt unequivocally like a home away from home.
Our clients had purchased a 2209 square foot, three-bedroom, three-bathroom luxury duplex apartment on the second and third floors of The Bromptons, one of the most prestigious buildings in Chelsea. They were looking for an interior designer to help redecorate and furnish the apartment to a luxury standard in a classic-contemporary style, including project managing the entire project.
The interior design studio with whom we matched them executed the brief beautifully. The resulting project won the International Property Awards Best Residential Interior Design Apartment, London and Best Residential Interior Design Apartment, United Kingdom.
Marrying the exquisite architectural detail with classic-contemporary interior architecture, they ensured it was up to date in terms of technology, whilst clearly reflecting the personality of the client in order to create a luxurious apartment that felt unequivocally like home.
A balance between contemporary and classic style has been achieved throughout the apartment via the use of colour, the selection of finishes and the combination of classic and contemporary furniture. The main reception rooms have a more classic feel than the contemporary kitchen and bathrooms. A palette of elegant blues, soft greys and gold was used to provide a timeless and warm backdrop. Our clients’ art collection was re-framed and curated to tie in with the new furniture scheme, with bespoke lighting throughout used to enhance the functionality and appeal of the rooms. The kitchen is decidedly contemporary in look and functionality. Its clean lines are softened by the upholstered seating around the breakfast table which leads effortlessly into the more classic dining room.
The three bedrooms in the apartment are timeless yet contemporary. Space has been maximised by the use of wall-mounted bedside lights, sofa beds and joinery to enhance storage. Elegant, unfussy upholstery, contemporary joinery and mood lighting ensures that each bedroom has a warm, welcoming ambience but remains functional. The luxury master bathroom has an under the eaves spa area complete with embedded twinkling ceiling lights. Its white marble and soft green colour scheme gives it a serene yet fresh feel.
Once the project had finished and our clients had moved into their contemporary yet luxurious home, they were kind enough to write to us to say: “We are absolutely thrilled with the end result. If you recall we started this process with no experience of the London interior design scene. Through your company and the designer we have not only achieved an extremely high quality result but thoroughly enjoyed the process and met some nice genuine people.”
