A rare, un-touched, London gem, this stunning 4 storey property had beautiful bones but was badly in need of TLC.
Our brief was to create a calm retreat from the otherwise hectic lifestyle of our hotelier client. The design focused on the accentuating beauty of the building, highlighting its innate features and natural light and heritage.
Authentic period features were retained and restored including the original cast iron bath which was brought back to former glory and painstakingly carried through the house to be re-located. Fixtures and fittings honoured the heritage of the building from the cast-iron radiators and aged brass electrics to brass taps and marble accents in the bedroom to the Victorian inspired encaustic tiles concealed within the closet.
A more contemporary pallet of soft neutrals was selected to ensure a calming environment with feature lighting, furniture and art and a mix of new and reclaimed, providing the bolder accents and focal points.
