Surrey House, a home for a family of five, is set in the scenic Surrey countryside. After relocating from London, the clients purchased a derelict farm to create a tranquil, contemporary retreat. The interiors were designed with tactile materials in mind, echoing the architecture through the use of clay plaster, tadelakt, and wood. Concrete and smoked oak floors introduce warmth and depth.
Bespoke joinery offers generous storage and a sleek, modern finish. The children’s rooms feature custom space-saving beds and a playful netted area suspended above the playroom. The kitchen was tailored to frame countryside views, with sliding doors allowing for open-plan flexibility. Living areas balance communal gathering with private retreat. Exposed glulam beams add visual rhythm and volume. The result is a textured, inviting home that seamlessly blends modern comfort with its rural setting.
